More details

In Jordan, traditional soap making has been revived by many young women falling in love with this craft, using mostly natural ingredients and adding their own touch to the color, smell and feel of the soaps they produce.

One successful producer, among many, resides near the village Orjan in the Al Ayoun area of Jordan. A house named for trade reasons as the Soap House, has been converted into a cottage workshop where local women hand-make a selection of high-quality natural olive oil soaps. Medicinal herbs and fragrant fruit and flowers like mint, cinnamon, pomegranate, lavender and geranium are also added.

Another popular product is the olive oil soap of Jordan River Foundation produced by one of its projects.
